Developments in digital technologies are constantly offering new opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes through the digitalization of machines and devices used. However, getting started with digitalization is often not easy. This is because the solutions are diverse, confusing and complex to use. With the maturity level analysis 4.0, Konica Minolta offers a standardized procedure for determining the current degree of digitalization in production, which simultaneously identifies existing potential for integrating digital technologies into the production process.

"Precise knowledge of the machinery, machine networking and production processes is essential in order to successfully implement IIoT solutions," explains Steve Rommel, Head of IoT Business Center Digital Manufacturing at Konica Minolta. "Our maturity level analysis 4.0 is an evaluation tool for the status quo and at the same time the basis for recommendations on possible next steps for the successful introduction of IIoT solutions. It gives our customers the opportunity to specifically select the production areas that offer the greatest potential for their production in the area of IIoT - clearly and comprehensibly."

Transparency and digital overview
At the stand, visitors can experience applications from the Factory Hub platform, in which live data is processed in various dashboards. This IIoT solution is aimed specifically at small and medium-sized companies. According to the company, it can be implemented quickly and includes all the necessary components to seamlessly digitalize existing production.

If required, this solution can be gradually supplemented with additional information and communication technologies as well as solution modules, thus enabling customized adaptation. Factory Hub combines expertise from the fields of sensor technology, visualization technology and IT services and optimizes a variety of use cases in the production environment. Different machines and production equipment can be individually networked in order to collect and visualize data as a first step on the way to the digital factory.

Optimizing production and assembly processes
Visitors can also try out the Konica Minolta Smart Glasses AIRe Lens for themselves and find out how they digitally support assembly and logistics processes in production. The focus will be on step-by-step guidance, remote support and picking in the logistics sector.

The IT services provider will also be demonstrating the benefits of various video systems from its partner Mobotix. By integrating thermal and infrared cameras into the manufacturing process, production can be further optimized at suitable points. as
