From Copa Data for operators of energy systems
Since the start of development, Copa-Data has strongly focused its Zenon software system on the requirements of the energy sector, among others. The software controls and monitors systems for energy distribution and power generation from renewable energy sources.
With a powerful package of customized functionalities, the company equips operators of energy systems and grids for the new requirements in the energy sector. Zenon is frequently used in the automation of electrical substations. It is used in on-site operation (HMI), at control room level (SCADA) and as a gateway. The manufacturer also develops its own communication stacks for important international standards such as IEC 61850 (Edition 2), IEC 60870, IEC 61400-25, DNP 3, Modbus Energy and TASE.2, enabling rapid expansion and optimum maintenance of drivers. The communication capability ensures high connectivity in heterogeneous systems and integration into smart grids. Zenon also offers many functionalities for the infrastructure of smart cities.
