Ethernet switches for demanding industrial networks
At SPS IPC Drives 2017 in Nuremberg, Lapp presented its own switches for Ethernet networks under the name Etherline@ Access. The developers have placed particular focus on the so-called reconfiguration time, i.e. the time it takes for communication to be restored after an interruption. For the switches, this is only 20 milliseconds with 250 active components in the network. The switches are also fully equipped with diagnostic and redundancy procedures.
The switches are available in four variants: "Managed", i.e. with configuration options and with five or eight RJ45 ports under the designation M05T and M08T. "The U05T and U08T switches are unmanaged. All four are fanless and maintenance-free and have two redundant connections for fail-safe power supply. sw
