EtherCAT for the internal rotor motor
Ebm-papst will be presenting the ECI-63 internal rotor motors from the modular drive system equipped with an EtherCAT interface for the first time at the SPS.
EtherCAT combines the advantages of Ethernet-based communication with the simplicity of classic fieldbus systems, which means that complex IT solutions can be avoided. Within the ECI series, drives with an integrated bus interface have already been established for some time under the term K5 electronics functionality.
The internal rotor motors can now also be addressed via EtherCAT. For this purpose, high-performance interface electronics including a multi-protocol chip have been added to the drive housing. Other innovations at the stand come from the fan technology sector, including new radial fans from the RadiPac series and the DiaForce diagonal fan with integrated DC motor.
