Decentralized applications, food industry and image processing
Components such as IO-Link master modules from ifm can be installed decentrally directly on the machine or system. For the power supply, the company will be presenting new power supply units with IP67 protection and an IO-Link interface at the SPS.
ifm is presenting the new IO-Link masters from the PerformanceLine series for the food industry. They fulfill protection classes IP65, IP67 and IP69K, the M12 sockets are made of stainless steel. For connecting sensors, ifm offers a comprehensive range of cables with IEC 61076 L-coded connectors.
With the O3R hardware platform, ifm is presenting an edge device for image processing in mobile robotics, to which up to six 3D cameras and numerous other sensors can be connected. The platform offers sufficient computing power to implement image processing with neural networks and other AI applications.
