When setting up a new warehouse, for example, the systems need to be assembled and installed as quickly as possible. Pre-assembled modules that only need to be connected on site make work easier and reduce sources of error.
Connectors for connecting the corresponding motors that drive the conveyor belts should therefore be easy, quick and safe to install. The M15 Power from LQ Mechatronik-Systeme consists of the W-TEC 15 power cable and the X-TEC 15 circular connector and was specially developed for applications of this type. On site, the cables simply need to be attached to the screw-in thread on the motor and locked in place with the quick-locking mechanism to establish electrical contact. No electricians are required for installation, as activities such as stripping or clamping are no longer necessary.
The cables are overmolded and offer protection against tampering. Connecting is reduced to a purely mechanical process: plug the connector onto the pin and lock it. The diameter of the M15 power circular connector is just 20 millimetres and also fits through small openings and cut-outs in the cable ducts. The electrical distribution between the trunk lines and the spur lines that lead to the motors is carried out via T-distributors from the M15 Power series; they are equipped with the same pole pattern so that the connection and electrical distribution is also carried out here by simply plugging them on. pb
