Base system for enclosures
A base for all occasions
With a new base system for enclosures and IT racks, Rittal offers more functions and application options. The VX25 enclosure accessories can be installed in a compatible manner and the base can be used as an intelligent cable routing space.
The new VX base system from Rittal is matched to the new VX25 large enclosure system - and is also fully compatible with the existing TS, TS IT, SE, CM, PC, IW, TP and TE enclosure systems. The new development combines all the functions and benefits of the Flex-Block and TS base and will replace them in future.
In combination with its comprehensive range of accessories and compatibility with enclosure accessories, the plinth system offers almost unlimited possibilities for installation, transportation, cable routing, cable fixing and plinth removal. The 25-millimeter dimensional grid is maintained throughout the base. This means that components from the enclosure - such as chassis and rails - can also be used in the base. In addition to the installation of baying lugs and cable support rails, routed cables can also be simply and efficiently intercepted and fixed in the base via system chassis.
Screwing from all directions
The plinth system consists of sturdy corner pieces with front and rear panels, as well as side panels, and is available in heights of 100 or 200 millimetres. The corner pieces, like the panels, are made of sheet steel. Precise positioning of the cabinet on the plinth and quick assembly of the corner pieces on the cabinet frame is easy to achieve thanks to the integrated centering aid, which is pre-assembled on the VX25 cabinet frame. Another new feature is the option of attaching the plinth directly from above, which simplifies the screwing process. The plinth and enclosure frame can be screwed together directly from above through the sturdy base frame using the nut integrated in the plinth corner piece. It is also possible to screw from below through the plinth into the cupboard corner piece.
The sheet steel panels can then be simply clipped on and, if the enclosure is to be lifted with a forklift or pallet truck, removed again. The clip-on panels allow easy access to the enclosure and therefore individual use, for example as a cable management area.
Fully symmetrical corner pieces and the use of the same plinth panels in width and depth open up new application possibilities. For example, the ventilated panels or panels with brush strips available as accessories can now be fitted at the side or replaced with the front/rear panels.
All panels can either be clipped onto the corner piece or screwed tight. Pre-assembled cage nuts enable quick installation. Depending on the application, the panels between bayed cabinets can be dispensed with or a 100 millimetre high panel can be used to stabilize the plinth corner pieces in relation to each other. as
