The Pepperl+Fuchs brand Ecom is presenting the next generation of the Tab-Ex tablet series for the Ex area. The Tab-Ex 02 device combines performance with new applications such as augmented reality.
It is suitable for Industry 4.0-capable applications and simplifies data exchange with Scada/DCS systems, ERP systems (SAP, IBM Maximo), project management systems and computer-aided system planning. As a compact lightweight, the tablet is a suitable companion for stocktaking, material tracking, maintenance, supply chain and asset management. Based on the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2, the Tab-Ex 02 with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system works with a powerful octa-core processor with 1.6 gigahertz and three gigabytes of RAM. Enough space and power for complex applications that connect people, processes and systems in the spirit of Industry 4.0. The improved hardware makes it possible to identify objects in a system and deliver all the underlying data available in real time directly to the user's field of vision and share it in the company network. pb
