Alstom trains run with Harting connectors

Harting has a new partner in Hiconnex. Hiconnex will take over the assembly of Han modular connectors, which will then be installed in Alstom trains for the South African state-owned transport company Prasa.

Han-Modular connectors have recently been manufactured for the train division of the French industrial group Alstom. Harting, represented by a sales office in Johannesburg, has found a partner in Hiconnex Industrial. Hiconnex, a distributor of cables and connectors, will be responsible for the complete assembly of the Han-Modular connectors, which will be installed in the Alstom trains. The Alstom trains will then be delivered to the South African state-owned transport company Prasa.

"This partnership is a win-win-win situation for all companies involved: for Alstom, for Hiconnex Industrial and for Harting," says Bernd Fischer, General Manager Corporate Regional Management at Harting. In addition, all three companies are supporting the local economy in South Africa with the project. Harting and Hiconnex intend to expand their partnership in the long term. as
