Charlie Grieco
New Chief Revenue Officer at ProGlove
ProGlove, provider of ergonomic wearables for industry, has appointed Charlie Grieco as Chief Revenue Officer. The North American sales manager will take on a global role to introduce the glove scanners to more companies.
Grieco joined ProGlove in April 2019 to develop North America for the Munich-based company. The main focus of his sales strategy: working with selected retail partners to bring the glove scanner to market. This strategy generated year-on-year growth of over 100 percent and resulted in the sale of an initial seven-figure project to a major retailer that uses ProGlove in its warehouse and logistics center.
Andreas König, CEO of ProGlove, commented on the decision: "From day one, I realized that Charlie Grieco would make the difference for us in the USA - and he proved me right: Charlie increased our business development in America right from the start. His hard work and dedication are fantastic."
ProGlove's flagship product is the Mark family. The glove scanners eliminate the limitations of stationary scanners. They therefore optimize the workflow. The Mark family includes the Mark basic and Mark 2 scanners as well as the new Mark Display. The scanners are slim, lightweight and robust and can be interchangeably connected to wearable consumables - gloves, cuffs or clips for lanyards. They include an integrated trigger to activate the scan function. Acoustic, visual and haptic feedback signals the success of each scan.
The Mark Display also has a high-contrast, non-reflective e-ink display that puts important information directly on the back of the employee's hand. And because wearables are by definition worn on the body, there is less risk of spreading germs between employees, dropping or misplacing the scanner.
"Of course, there is a huge need for solutions that benefit employees ergonomically while speeding up work processes," says Charlie Grieco. "Every company is interested in finding new efficient ways to save time and money and the current barcode scanners are burdensome for both employees and the supply chain. I look forward to leading the international ProGlove team and working together to provide innovative solutions for employees worldwide."
