The right solution for every label

Much more durable, clearer and high-quality markings are possible with a professional labeling solution. Brother offers such a solution with the P-touch series of electrical devices and, of course, the appropriate labeling media. The marking tapes, which are available in widths from 6 to 24 millimetres, consist of six layers of material including a laminated protective layer. Printing takes place on the underside of this protective layer, which protects the writing from environmental influences.

This so-called back-band printing for laminated labels makes the lettering smudge-, weather- and scratch-resistant. Different font and background colors are available depending on the area of application. In addition to these self-adhesive labels, Flexi-Tapes, which can be used to wrap cables, are also available. A very robust and durable variant for marking cables are the printable shrink sleeves, which are reliably and permanently fixed to the cable after heating with a hot air blower.

The PT-E550WVP model, for example, is used to produce the labels. This labeling device can be operated via a WLAN interface with a smartphone on which the Pro Label Tool app from Brother for Android or iOS is installed. Numerous labels and other markings are already predefined in the app. Terminal blocks, distributors, cables and wires as well as patch panels can be perfectly labeled in no time at all.

Many other templates, for example with QR codes or barcodes, are also included. Of course, conventional operation on the integrated keyboard is also possible. The combination of P-touch, app and the right materials is an ideal solution for labeling in all areas of electrical installation.
