With this system, compressed air consumption and wear have been reduced to a minimum; maintenance parts have been dispensed with completely. Bluhm has also thought about Industry 4.0 with this system for labeling. It therefore meets all the requirements of a modern pressure dispensing system.

Legi-Air 4050 E prints labels with variable data and then applies them fully automatically to products, cartons or pallets. Thanks to numerous available modules, the system can be adapted to the respective application. Print modules from all leading manufacturers can be integrated and quickly exchanged for another if required. Depending on the respective print module, Legi-Air 4050 E prints labels with data in 200 to 600 dpi resolution. Numerous applicators are available for applying the labels. They can be used to reach any labeling position. They also enable high-speed applications and very precise labeling.

The new version is characterized by low operating costs: A modulated vacuum has made it possible to reduce compressed air consumption by up to 80 percent. The pressure is constantly measured using integrated sensors and valve technology and adjusted as required. At the same time, production availability has been increased with this pressure dispensing system. The motorized drive not only of the winder but also of the unwinder protects the print module. The print dispenser itself is also maintenance-free. Only the print module used needs to be maintained in accordance with the respective manufacturer.

EN-415-10 compliant

The designers at Bluhm Systeme have developed the Legi-Air 4050 E in such a way that it is safe: there is therefore no risk of injury to the operator. The labeling system meets all the requirements of EN-415-10, which is particularly interesting for machine manufacturers who want to integrate the label pressure dispenser into packaging systems for the purpose of labeling. For servicing and cleaning, the pneumatics are clearly visible and easily accessible outside under a transparent cover. Safety-relevant processes such as the dispensing stamp movement are separated from general functions such as label management by a separate compressed air circuit. The label printer dispenser is operated via the multilingual 7" LCD touch display. This also provides the operator with information on productivity or the machine's recent history, for example.

Industry 4.0-capable

The Legi-Air 4050 E is optionally available with an additional N-Controller. This OPC UA-capable (Open Platform Communications United Architecture) controller forms a state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 interface. This enables an extended connection with other devices and the exchange of information that goes beyond simple signals. In this way, data can be displayed more clearly in plain text or as statistics. The entire system can also be visualized in this way. In addition, extended connectivity to Ethernet IP, Profinet and other fieldbus interfaces is also possible.

The new Supporttrix service concept for the Legi-Air 4050 E enables Bluhm Systeme service technicians to access the machine offline. They can remotely view the current status of the machine without having to establish a direct connection to the system. All the operator has to do is photograph three QR codes that the machine generates in the event of a fault and send them to the Bluhm service team. The team reads the codes and receives all machine-relevant data, settings and events of the machine.
