Among other things, a live demo will show how deep learning technologies in Halcon 17.12 optimize the identification of objects using optical character recognition (OCR). It will also show how objects (in this specific case, various types of fruit) can be precisely classified.

The demo also shows the reliable and robust defect detection of tablets. Another live demo shows how the Merlic software runs on an Adlink smart camera. Deep learning-based OCR functions are used to precisely recognize different font types on packaging, such as best-before dates or batch numbers, in fractions of a second. Visitors to the stand can also see how Merlic works together with a programmable logic controller (PLC) and how the remote front end can be visualized on a mobile platform. as
