EyeVision 3D can now seamlessly evaluate and measure stereo 3D images in combination with Nerian Karmin3. The software can be used to set all camera parameters and acquire images.

The software's extensive 3D commands can then be used to perform a wide range of image evaluations. Karmin3 is a stereo camera with two 3-megapixel image sensors from Sony and is also suitable for demanding lighting conditions. The depth camera delivers highly accurate distance measurements even in bright ambient light and over long distances. Karmin3 is available in two different stereo base widths, 10 and 25 centimeters. Whereby the 10 centimeter model is suitable for depth measurements at close range and the 25 centimeter model for depth measurements from a greater distance. A large selection of lenses is also available. With the standard lenses, aperture angles between 25 degrees and 62 degrees are possible. The software provides 3D commands, which should lead to very good solutions for depth measurements. Other applications with the software include bin-picking, pin inspection, weld seam inspection, adhesive and sealing bead inspection. The software also has a Profinet interface. The graphical user interface allows users to create inspection programs even without programming knowledge. dsc
