OEMs and planners of industrial wastewater treatment applications now have a new option for progressive cavity pumps in the form of OptiFix from Allweiler. The pump from Circor Pumping Technologies (CPT) can be dismantled in five steps, eliminating the need to remove it from the pipeline to replace the rotor, stator, joints or shaft seal.
The quick-change design of the pump has been optimized so that inspections, parts replacement and maintenance work can be carried out quickly. According to the company, OptiFix can reduce average repair time for wastewater treatment by 85 percent and extend pump life by up to 500 percent when combined with Circor's Alldur stator solution. Other benefits include a leak-resistant ATLS-T1V sensor to detect dry running before damage occurs, availability in multiple rotor-stator geometries and sizes for application-specific configurations and a patented backlash-free spline connection. am
