Oil and water-repellent membrane

Keep dirt particles away

Aeration and venting elements with integrated filters and strainers from Ganter are now being supplemented by elements fitted with membranes. According to the manufacturer, this makes it possible to prevent even smaller particles and, above all, oil and water droplets from passing through the ventilation openings. Dirt and moisture are thus kept away from the inside of the housing and lubricants such as oils are prevented from escaping.

On the outside, the membrane is protected against mechanical stress by a protective screen.

While the previous filter and sieve elements have a minimum mesh size of 100 m, the pores of the membrane are just 1.2 µm in size as standard. The robust membrane is additionally protected against mechanical stress on the outside by a protective screen made of stainless steel. The standard element GN 7404 is installed in vertical surfaces so that no liquids collect on the diaphragm that could impair pressure equalization. At a nominal differential pressure P1 to P2 of 1 bar, the maximum air flow - depending on the diameter - is up to 34 l/min. The diaphragm itself retains its function up to an external pressure difference of 2 bar or an internal pressure difference of up to 10 bar. The maximum operating temperature is 100 °C. sw
