AR enables 3D interior view of an Ecoflow model
With the help of an augmented reality app, pumps can be placed virtually in the room and inspected from all sides. It also provides three-dimensional insights into the pump structure.
The Leonberg-based company Lewa has optimized its augmented reality (AR) app to show the inner workings of pumps. The AR solution makes it possible to display a pump model from the LDZ Ecoflow series using a tablet and place it virtually anywhere in the room. It will be presented at the Hannover Messe.
The tablet's camera captures the floor of the respective room using ground plane detection and positions the model on the screen. The freely scalable 3D model provides an insight into the pump structure and allows the viewer to move freely around the room with the tablet and examine the exhibit individually from all directions, both inside and out. Various animations can be started that visually depict extreme scenarios such as a diaphragm rupture or a blocked suction line. This is used to show the reaction and mode of operation of the Ecoflow pump in the respective situation.
Until now, Lewa has used Plexiglas heads or cross-sections to illustrate the inner workings of its pump types. In addition to the virtual Ecoflow LDZ, the new DIN EN ISO-certified models of the seal-free, Nikkiso canned motor pumps will also be exhibited at the trade fair. The company will also be presenting a piston and centrifugal pump from Dutch manufacturer Pomac and a Wilden pump.
