Yaskawa expands capacities
Controls delivered faster
Yaskawa has expanded its production and delivery capacities and now offers higher standard availability for the Vipa 300S+ controller generation. This enables machine builders and automation specialists to respond more quickly to customer inquiries.
At the same time, Yaskawa/Vipa Controls continues to guarantee long-term investment security with the 300S product family. The high-speed control system has been continuously developed. In addition to improvements in memory, performance and communication, the focus in recent years has increasingly been on compatibility and availability.
The most recent upgrade of the Vipa 300S control system to date took place at the end of 2016 with the current Vipa 300S+ version. The PLC CPUs offer a larger memory size and more additional benefits than the previous models at a lower price, the manufacturer promises. Particular flexibility in use and application is guaranteed, for example, by suitable front connectors for the integrated I/O channels and the option of using commercially available SD cards as external storage media. In addition, the system meets high demands for clever memory management, data security and comprehensive communication capability via modern protocols, for example through an integrated Ethernet connection and many supported buses.
Spare parts management and retrofitting
Yaskawa has recently extended the warranty period for components of the Vipa 300S product family to 36 months, with planned availability until at least 2025. This means that the control system, which will be available in the long term, also offers interesting prospects for spare parts management, retrofitting and the replacement of existing solutions at attractive price conditions. as
