Yaskawa Europe expands its top management
Yaskawa Europe has expanded its top management: Bruno Schnekenburger, previously President of the Robotics Division, has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) as of September 1, 2018. His successor as President of the Robotics Division will be Marcus Mead.
"After the outstanding successes of the past four years in his role as President of the European Robotics Division, Mr. Schnekenburger will be instrumental in his new role to further expand and strengthen Yaskawa Europe," said Manfred Stern, CEO of Yaskawa Europe and Executive Officer of the Japanese parent company, Yaskawa Electric. As COO, Schnekenburger will focus on the topics of Operation Excellence and Lean Enterprise as well as the completion and commissioning of the new robot plant in Slovenia.
Schnekenburger will also continue in his role as Managing Director of Yaskawa Europe and be represented on the YEU Board of Directors. Marcus Mead took over as President of the Robotics Division on September 1, 2018. Mead previously worked in the European Robotics Division as Vice President Operations.
The expanded top management of Yaskawa Europe today consists of Manfred Stern, CEO, Bruno Schnekenburger, COO, Norbert Gauss, President Drives Motion Controls, and Marcus Mead, President Robotics. Marcus Mead is also appointed Managing Director of Yaskawa Europe and will be represented on the YEU Board of Directors. Jukka-Pekka Makinen, President of the Environmental Energy Division, which was incorporated into Yaskawa Europe as a third division in March of this year, is also represented on the Board of Directors. as
