RBTX
Robotics marketplace now available in 18 countries
Igus aims to lower the barriers to entry into the automation age with its low-cost automation offering. The robotics marketplace RBTX helps interested parties to find the right automation solution for their application quickly, easily and cost-effectively. To date, RBTX has been available in eight countries. Now Igus is expanding its offering and launching the robotics marketplace in ten additional countries.
In order to ensure their own competitiveness, more and more companies are turning to the automation of their processes. However, the usually high investment costs and lack of expertise still often represent a hurdle - especially for small and medium-sized companies. This is where RBTX comes into play: the offering includes an online marketplace for cost-effective robotics components and complete solutions, the RBTXpert remote integration service and customer testing areas at various locations worldwide, where planned customer applications can be tested live together before purchase. True to the motto: test before invest. This is how RBTX makes automation accessible to everyone - whether bakery, pharmaceutical laboratory or automotive OEM.
"Our RBTX online marketplace has grown strongly this year," says Alexander Mühlens, Head of the Automation Technology and Robotics business unit at igus. "We launched in Germany in 2019. As our offering has been very well received and demand is constantly growing, we have already expanded RBTX to Austria, France, the UK, the USA, Canada, India and Singapore in recent years. However, we are continuously working on becoming active in other countries in order to make low-cost automation more accessible worldwide. We are therefore now offering RBTX in ten more countries: Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. Three more will soon follow with Spain, Brazil and Turkey."
Fast robot integration with remote services is booming
On RBTX.com, interested parties currently have access to over 300 individual robotics components from 78 manufacturers as well as over 150 complete solutions from the field - including guaranteed hardware and software compatibility. The online marketplace also offers a place where humans and robots can meet. In the Customer Testing Area, customers can test the feasibility of their planned application together with an RBTXpert, the remote integrator service. The RBTXpert connects via live video call from this environment with automation enthusiasts for an individual consultation.
"In Germany alone, we carry out up to 30 projects per week. We also have Customer Testing Areas on site in many other countries, so the RBTXpert can also provide advice in many other languages and time zones," emphasizes Alexander Mühlens. "This gives even more interested parties worldwide direct access to a wide range of cost-effective robotics. For example, bonding applications are available from as little as 5,804 euros or quality control applications from 5,476 euros."
