Robotics
Far-reaching arms
Fanuc has added two new robots to its model range. The new additions are the M-20iD/25 handling robot and the ARC Mate 120iD welding version. Compared to their predecessors, both are characterized by higher axis speeds and a large working range.
Both new robots are controlled by the R-30iB Plus controller. Both models have a maximum payload of 25 kilograms and a maximum reach of 1,831 millimetres. The robot can also reach close to its own foot, increasing the active stroke to 1,585 millimetres. Both models have new drive units with new higher axis speeds. The repeat accuracy has been increased to plus/minus 0.02 millimeters. The M-20iD/25 is suitable for handling tasks, loading and unloading machines or in logistics. Thanks to its IP67 protection class for the arm and wrist axes, it is also well suited for applications in adverse environmental conditions such as grinding or deburring. According to Fanuc, the ARC Mate 120iD offers optimum guidance of cables and media lines, reduced assembly work and lower operating costs. Its manual axes are also designed with IP67 protection, making it a candidate for welding and cutting applications. as
