Application diversity at Motek
Universal Robots (UR) can be found at Motek with a large number of practical applications.
The company offers extensive insights into collaborative robotics. Among other things, UR is showing a UR5e that proves itself in cable plugging. With the help of the Mirai AI controller from Micropsi Industries and a 2-finger gripper from Robotiq, the UR5e grasps the dimensionally unstable cable itself and inserts it into a socket with pinpoint accuracy, taking into account variances in the process. Another application with the Match platform from Schmalz and the Zimmer Group will demonstrate the flexibility of cobots at Motek. Using the mechanical tool changer, which requires neither additional compressed air nor electronic components, the UR3e model cobot on display can change its end effectors quickly. A UR10e on the RobIn-eBox control cabinet from Siemens shows how companies can considerably simplify the development of cobot systems with PLC functionality.
Focus on training
The UR Education teaching concept also focuses on training with cobots. Easy to operate, compact and safe, the robots are ideal for learning automation technology in practice. Here, the hardware learning station with a UR3e realistically reproduces smaller applications in the learning environment and builds on the e-learning modules of the UR Academy. Supplemented by materials such as a teacher's guide and handouts, UR has developed the concept holistically. At the Modern Assembly Congress, he will talk about the advantages and possible applications of cobots in assembly.
