IAI is launching a new series of electric actuators under the name Elecylinder.
The new red/black actuators can be easily programmed via the integrated control unit, allowing the travel speeds as well as the acceleration and deceleration cycles to be specified depending on the application in addition to the actual positions.
Like all electric actuators, the Elecylinders can also easily perform slow, uniform speeds over the entire travel distance. They also have high-resolution, battery-free absolute encoders. This makes it possible to dispense with reference runs and the use of a home sensor, eliminate the need for battery maintenance or restart without any problems after an emergency stop, and the high repeat accuracy of plus/minus 0.05 millimetres means that precise positioning can also be carried out.
Easy reprogramming
Together with the new series, IAI is also presenting its new teaching counterpart, the TB-03. In combination with the Elecylinder series, it can now also communicate wirelessly with the electric actuators. One of the advantages of this for the user is that actuators that are already concealed behind covers can be easily reprogrammed from the outside at any time. In addition, this new teaching counterpart can also be used to program all other electric actuators from IAI via a conventional cable connection. as
