Tools and automation
Many highlights in Leipzig
Ceratizit will be presenting the highlights from its portfolio at Intec. In addition to the latest tools for milling, turning and drilling, automation solutions will also be a top topic at the tool manufacturer's stand.
Whether for drilling, with stationary or rotating tools or for turning flat, internal and external contours: the EcoCut is the Swiss army knife of cutting tools and the first choice for a wide range of applications. With the addition of P, the update for machining ISO-P steels is now available. This means that users can either increase their cutting data and machine faster or stick to their tried and tested parameters and benefit from longer tool life.
A targeted coolant supply is not just an option for most demanding machining processes, but an undisputed efficiency booster. Ceratizit has therefore completed its DirectCooling product portfolio with the MaxiLock-N turning holders. With this system, two internal channels ensure that coolant is directed precisely to the cutting edge. Three nozzles are aimed at the chip surface from above, while another is aimed at the flank face from below and therefore precisely at the cutting edges. This free-surface cooling extends tool life by 60 % compared to cooling aimed exclusively at the rake face. Instead of having to inspect the stock of tools yourself every day, the Tool-O-Mat automatic tool cooler performs this service independently. It always has the right quantity of the most commonly used tools in stock and can reorder missing tools in good time if required.
