Intec and Z 2019
Tool systems for modern production
The tool service provider and system supplier Hahn+Kolb provided an insight into its full range of products at Intec in Leipzig, from machining products and equipment to industrial 3D printers and tool dispensing systems. At the stand of Mazak, manufacturer of machine tools, tools from Atorn were also used directly.
A highlight at the Hahn+Kolb stand was the Atorn HPC high-performance universal drill program. The drilling tools have been specially designed for demanding applications in the machining of materials with a strength of up to 1,300 N/mm², with diameters between 1 and 20 mm and drilling depths of 3xD to 12xD. According to the company, a new type of geometry and robust multilayer coating allow the drills from Atorn to work precisely and economically. A special finishing of the cutting edges also reduces micro-chipping while ensuring a long service life.
3D printers for industrial companies and digitalized tool management
As a Multec sales partner, Hahn+Kolb presented the latest model of an industrial 3D printer in Leipzig: the Multirap M500 is suitable as an entry-level model with which companies can produce smaller quantities quickly and cost-effectively using rapid tooling and rapid manufacturing. This is because the patented Multec4Move multiple print head applies four different plastics or colors - cleanly and drip-free.
Modern production is becoming increasingly digital. The tool service provider has a 24/7 solution in its portfolio in the form of the HK-MAT tool dispensing systems to ensure a future-oriented supply of operating resources. The HK-MAT RT rotary dispensing cabinet has up to 384 electrically lockable storage locations and automatically triggers a reorder when required. This ensures a seamless supply for production.
