Mapal now offers its tool management services on the basis of the c-Com platform. According to the provider, this "Tool Management 4.0" ensures maximum transparency with regard to all data and goods flows as well as costs.
Efficient tool management should make inaccuracies in stock levels and the tracking of consumption data, machine downtimes due to missing tools and the high cost of data maintenance, replenishment and the issuing of tools a thing of the past. This is because the service provider takes care of all of this with efficient tool management. It is crucial that a well-functioning system has a modular structure and can be adapted to the customer's individual situation. According to the manufacturer, the basic framework of tool management is therefore a modular system with twelve services, which are individually compiled and adapted for the customer's production site together with the customer. Data and information can be provided more transparently and consistently for everyone involved - production, purchasing, planning, tool managers and suppliers.
The manufacturer relies on the open cloud platform c-Com and offers digital tool management on this basis. This creates a cross-functional and cross-company technology database for companies. Redundant structures should therefore be a thing of the past. sw
