Robot automates production cell

At its stand in Hall 9, Fanuc will be demonstrating how machines can be automated with a conventional or collaborative robot. A new software function makes it possible to connect machines and robots with just one cable.

A production cell with two vertical machining centers from the Robodrill series, each of which processes different components, serves as an example. They are automated by a robot that uses the latest AI bin-picking technology to grip the raw parts (image). The Robonanao-α-NTiA, an ultra-precision machine that achieves a resolution of 0.1 nm for positioning tasks, will also be presented. It is the latest addition to the Robonano series and will be available in both a turning variant (NTiA) and a milling variant (NMiA).
