Lach Diamant was granted a patent for the world's first PCD chipbreaker back in 1999; many variations and further patent applications followed. The "IC-plus world's best" PCD cutting insert with active chip breaker for finishing long-chipping aluminum alloys, which was presented for the first time at the last EMO, has developed from a standing start into a real problem solver and thus a top seller.

The cutting insert with the XIS/XXIS chip breaker function, which has been tried and tested for over ten years, is available for turning larger finishing allowances.

The laser-produced classic, the PCD cutting insert with chip groove type CO, has been completing the compressed range for two decades. With its positive cut for the CO type, the company recommends it in particular for turning thin-walled and unstable components.

Lach Diamant is now providing all users with the "IC-plus world's best" information for the reliable turning of particularly long-chipping aluminum alloys.
