Zeus marking technology from Hommel+Keller Präzisionswerkzeuge is used for this purpose, both in standard versions and customized and component-optimized versions. The marking tools can be integrated directly into the machining process and, compared to laser marking, needle embossing or engraving, are a flexible alternative for marking components and workpieces directly on the production machine in a matter of seconds. Different component geometries, interchangeable font sets or customer-specific tool configurations - the revolving or spring-back tool systems are suitable for many marking requirements.

Marking technology: Can be used for workpieces with different diameters

In the circulating marking process for medium to large batches, the lettering is embossed over several defined revolutions of the marking roll, which is matched to the workpiece. Hommel+Keller manufactures a customized marking roll that is inserted into the machine. Spring-back systems offer a great deal of flexibility: This makes it possible to mark different workpieces with different diameters. With the 432 segment tool, workpieces can be marked right up to the collar.
