CNC system

Andrea Gillhuber,

From engineering to machining simulation

With the latest software version of the MTX CNC system, Bosch Rexroth is simplifying the digital engineering of machine tools through to 3D machining simulation during operation.

Based on hardware that can be scaled in three stages, MTX controls up to 250 CNC axes in up to 60 channels with one controller.

Engineering takes place via the central engineering software IndraWorks for project planning, parameterization and testing of CNC, PLC and HMI. The fully open architecture allows machine manufacturers to protect their know-how. End users can also use 3D machining simulations to detect errors in advance and digitally optimize machining processes.
