Drill with cassette system
The KUB Pentron CS indexable insert drill is a new member of the standard portfolio of Ceratizit's Komet range.
CS stands for Cartridge Solution: two cartridge seats are incorporated into the base body. While the inner cartridge is able to cover a certain diameter range, the outer cartridge determines the bore diameter. The drill is designed for diameters up to 96 mm and drill holes up to 3×D.
The tool consists of the burnished, wear-resistant KUB-Pentron base holder. The proven Komet ABS system serves as the coupling system. According to the company, this offers advantages over other interfaces such as the cylindrical shank, including a higher clamping force and torsional rigidity as well as better values in terms of power transmission, accuracy and cutting performance.
