Gear shaft grinding solution
Cylindrical grinding of gear shafts
Emag has developed a horizontal cylindrical grinding machine for the precision machining of shafts in series production. Using a modular principle, these machines can be adapted to a wide variety of machining tasks and integrated into the manufacturer's production lines. The company wants to respond to technological developments in the automotive industry.
Components have increasingly complex geometric details and must nevertheless be finished with high precision. As a result, manufacturing companies are dependent on mechanical engineering companies that develop customized grinding solutions for shafts - ideally integrated into integrated production lines. Off-the-shelf grinding technology is almost unthinkable in many areas of application: Drive shafts for electric motors, complex camshafts or crankshafts as well as gear shafts require very different detailed solutions - depending on whether, for example, only a single grinding operation, several parallel grinding operations or combined internal and external grinding operations are to be carried out. Depending on the component and grinding technology, users also require additional technology modules such as an in-process measuring device, dressing units for CBN and corundum grinding wheels, automatic balancing units and much more. It is precisely against this background that the developers see growing market opportunities for the HG 208 and the associated production lines. sw
