Cutting inserts for tangential mounting
With tangentially mounted inserts
WNT 's SOGX insert and clamp holder system is characterized by a higher number of cutting edges and tangential mounting of the inserts.
Coolant is supplied from the rear or side of the tool holder. According to the company, these features make the process safer.
The SOGX inserts are available in two sizes (7 and 11 mm) and in a selection of different cutting materials. The WPX7630 grade, for example, has a high degree of toughness and is suitable for general use, while the harder, bright WUX7620 is used for non-ferrous materials and titanium.
