In the field of vacuum automation, Schmalz offers individual components such as suction pads or vacuum generators, but also end effectors that can be attached directly to the cobot. The SLG lightweight gripper system is ideal for handling different workpieces, for example in the areas of packaging, end-of-line packaging or pick-and-place processes. The gripper is configured by the customer with easy-to-use software according to their requirements and then additively manufactured.

With the configurator, customers can create a customized gripper in just six steps. From the selection of the workpiece and the application to vacuum generation and flange connection, the configurator supports the configuration of the gripping system. Schmalz offers the grippers in three standard variations. The SLG can be equipped with an external pneumatic or electronic vacuum generator. Integrated pneumatic vacuum generation is also possible. By using modern additive manufacturing processes and materials, the gripper is particularly light and robust. Complex geometries can be realized as well as a complete integration of the air flow.
