Handling solutions
One generation further
IEF-Werner has further developed its Aipress. Compared to the previous version, the new generation of servo presses offers more power in a compact installation space.
In Stuttgart, IEF-Werner will be presenting the further development of the Aipress servo press series. The flexibly designed systems can be integrated into automated production lines as well as manual workstations. The new generation is available in three sizes instead of the previous four: with three kilonewtons and 180 millimetres jaw width, 15 kilonewtons and 230 millimetres jaw width and 36 kilonewtons and 280 millimetres jaw width. IEF-Werner selects the right motor for the customer application for each force level. The standard system now also includes the external stroke measuring system, which is attached directly to the press quill. There are also new software functions such as a wear and maintenance indicator.
IEF-Werner will also be presenting the Domiline adjustment unit at Motek. This adjustment slide can be used to position measuring systems as required. The solution has a modular design and is easy to set up and convert. The automation specialist has developed accessories to move the slide more precisely and make the system easier to use - such as the MDV rotary adjuster for manual operation. Mounted on the carriage, this helps the user to optimally position their camera system, for example.
The automation specialist has also developed the compact Minispin series for handling small components, such as those used in microsystems and precision engineering. For pick & place tasks, it achieves a total cycle time of less than 250 milliseconds for components weighing up to 20 grams.
The Rotaryarm swivel arm module also achieves fast cycle times. IEF-Werner offers this horizontal handling system in three different sizes, depending on the customer application. On request, the connected gripper can be equipped with an additional NC rotary axis. Endless rotations can thus be easily realized. In combination with a linear unit, the rotary arm is a fast pick & place system and therefore predestined for applications in any industry.
The compact Ecostack palletizing system will also be on display at the stand. Unlike other systems, it works completely without energy-intensive - and therefore expensive - compressed air. The palletizing system saves even more energy by automatically switching off components that are not currently needed. Furthermore, IEF-Werner will be exhibiting the Robocell standard cell, an open machine concept that enables the quick and easy implementation of automated production and assembly processes. as
