Gentle contact and secure grip
Foils, paper, wafers or glass - the gentle and safe handling of thin workpieces with sensitive surfaces requires a suction pad that can handle dynamically with high suction power and still grip gently. Schmalz has developed the SFF/SFB1 vacuum suction pad for this purpose.
Thin and flexible packaging and workpieces are not easy to grip. The surface is quickly deformed or marks are left behind. Schmalz has therefore designed a new suction pad. The vacuum experts combine a soft sealing lip with a stabilizing support surface inside the suction pad. The honeycomb structure of the sealing lip and support element is also new: it ensures optimum vacuum distribution and safe component handling with high suction force - without damaging the sensitive workpieces.
Because every application places individual demands on the components, Schmalz offers the SFF/SFB1 in different versions. Depending on the material selected, the suction cup is food-safe, chemically resistant or suitable for high temperatures. Users can also choose the diameter - from ten to 40 millimetres - and design: The SFF flat suction pad is particularly suitable for holding flat workpieces such as paper packaging or fragile objects such as wafers or display glass. As a bellows suction pad SFB1, it compensates for height differences in coffee capsules or blister packs, for example, thanks to its 1.5 folds. as
