New date in December
Messe Düsseldorf has announced the new date for the wire and Tube trade fair duo: The world's leading international trade fairs for the wire, cable and tube industry will take place at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Center from December 7 to 11, 2020.
The decision to hold the wire and Tube trade fair duo in December was made in consultation with all partners involved. The aim was to counteract the increasingly dynamic developments regarding the possible spread of the coronavirus.
"It is very important to us to inform you of this new date promptly in order to ensure planning security for the entire industry and its partners," says Wolfram N. Diener, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf, and adds: "Our customers and partners can trust that we will act prudently and responsibly even in difficult situations".
Existing contracts with Messe Düsseldorf will remain valid for the new date, and visitor tickets already purchased will also remain valid. A total of around 2,600 exhibitors are expected in 15 exhibition halls, presenting the latest machinery and equipment for wire and tube production, processing and finishing, end products, products and services.
The umbrella organization of the hotel industry DEHOGA (German Hotel and Catering Association) is sending an appeal to its members: "We appeal to our members and the entire industry to be flexible when it comes to rebookings by exhibitors and visitors. Düsseldorf trade fairs such as wire and Tube play an enormously important role for the city, the hotel and catering industry. It would be counterproductive not to be accommodating here," said DEHOGA representatives Giuseppe Saitta (Chairman of the Düsseldorf/Rhein-Kreis Neuss district group) and Rolf D. Steinert (Düsseldorf/Rhein-Kreis Neuss hotels and tourism group) in unison.
