Threading tools for the nut industry
At this year's Wire, Bass is focusing on the internal thread machining of fasteners. Process reliability and the highest quality in thread production are the hallmarks of excellently manufactured nuts. It is difficult for manufacturers to find the best tool solutions, not least due to the different base materials of the fasteners, the selected forming process, the required tolerances and other operating conditions. High-quality materials, adapted geometries and new coatings enable tapping and thread forming at high cutting speeds. The reduced machining time and long tool life reduce manufacturing costs.
In the field of thread forming, Bass offers a forming tool for reliable machining in all standard dimensions with the Duramax family. New coatings tailored to the application, such as the innovative BT coating, lead to longer tool life. sw
