Power supply via Ethernet
With the KGC-261-DP, KTI has introduced an industrial media converter that supports High PoE++.
This means it can supply connected devices with power via the Ethernet copper cable, which were previously out of the question due to their power consumption of up to 90 W. The I version of the switch is also of interest to energy suppliers. The KGC-261-DP/I is certified in accordance with IEC 61850-3. PoE shutdown protection prevents faults or defects from occurring when non-compatible powered devices are connected. Additional reverse polarity protection ensures safety if the DC power supply is not connected correctly to the terminal strip. In addition to the terminal strip, the KGC-261-DP can be supplied with power via the mini DIN 4 connection or via the DC hollow plug. A separate plug-in power supply unit is available as an option.
