The company celebrated the construction of the new 15,000 square meter electromobility plant with a topping-out ceremony in the Rzeszów-Dworzysko Science and Technology Park in Poland on 16 September 2020 together with Panattoni, a full-service developer for industrial real estate.

At the new production site, the company will manufacture and test various AC and DC charging cables, which will be supplied to leading manufacturers in the automotive industry, among others. The plant in Poland will have a total area of 15,000 square meters, of which 14,000 square meters will be production and storage space and 1,000 square meters will be office space. It is planned to start production at the beginning of 2021 and to expand the workforce to over 250 employees within the next few years.

In Germany, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility has expanded and continuously optimized its production capacities at its main site in Schieder-Schwalenberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, in recent months. The new building offers a production area of 3,200 square meters for the production of new technologies and expands the existing 2,100 square meters of production space and 3,200 square meters of warehouse space.

It will mainly produce charging infrastructure products such as AC and DC charging cables, including High Power Charging (HPC) technology. The previous production building specializes in automotive electromobility products such as vehicle charging sockets. "The expansion of the usable space contributes to the overall optimization and increased efficiency of all production processes," sums up Bodo Finken, Head of Production in Schieder-Schwalenberg.
