One-cable solution
Stöber will be presenting its One Cable Solution (OCS) at the SPS. The drive specialist has developed this further in collaboration with encoder manufacturer Heidenhain and launched it on the market as the next generation.
With the future-proof Heidenhain EnDat 3 protocol, the new hybrid cable can reliably connect motors and drive controllers at a distance of up to 100 meters. The special feature: Without an expensive output choke, it transmits interference-free signals from the motor to the drive controller at a distance of up to 50 meters. The starting point for the development was the search for a solution for highly dynamic applications in drag chains. After extensive load tests, Stöber now guarantees with OCS a drag capability without choke for cable lengths of up to 50 meters. The new hybrid cable is designed for the EZ and EZS series of synchronous servomotors. These can be combined with all Stöber gearboxes in direct mounting.
