Uwe Scharf is the new Managing Director at Rittal
Change in management at Rittal: Uwe Scharf (55) was appointed Managing Director on January 1, 2019 and is responsible for the IT and Industry business units as well as marketing.
As a leading global solution provider for enclosure systems and IT infrastructure solutions, Rittal has strategically strengthened its sales organization. This enables the Herborn-based company to tailor industry- and IT-specific solutions from its standard portfolio precisely to the requirements of its customers and support them effectively in their digital transformation. "We are delighted to be able to fill this management position from within the company. Uwe Scharf has outstanding experience in business development and the strategic orientation of the product and systems business," says Dr. Karl-Ulrich Köhler, CEO of Rittal International, commenting on Scharf's appointment.
Uwe Scharf has been with Rittal since 2001. As Head of the Global Business Unit Industry, the 55-year-old electrical engineer successfully aligned sector management and product management in the Industry business unit to the requirements of customers and market segments. "I am delighted to have the confidence to be able to make my contribution to Rittal with increased responsibility. As an innovation leader, it is our passion to constantly improve the Rittal portfolio. In this way, we actively support our customers in their transformation towards high-performance value creation processes," says Uwe Scharf.
