Employee motivation
Study: Two thirds of all employees unmotivated
Sage has published a study that shows that 66 percent of employees in companies are only partially motivated or not motivated at all. Sage surveyed 3,500 employees worldwide from companies of different sizes.
This crisis in employee motivation means that more than a third of them are productive for less than 30 hours a week. The most common reason is that there are different expectations between employers and employees. According to the study, employees long for meaning in their daily work and appreciation from their employer. Simone Seidel, Director People Management at Sage, says: "When working with their employees, companies should first and foremost focus on what motivates and drives them. When employers focus on this, they create the basis for positive employee experiences."
