The range has been specially developed for this hybrid manufacturing process. It includes ball nose end mills and shank radius end mills that are designed to meet the requirements of hybrid additive manufacturing in terms of their neck design, cutting edge area and coating. The pre-milling cutter with spherical geometry is designed for roughing and pre-finishing operations in order to produce a specific allowance on the additively manufactured component. The machining direction here is from top to bottom. The finishing cutter, also with spherical geometry, is recommended for finishing in layers that are no longer thermally stressed.

The cutting edge area on the tool has been specially designed to enable machining from bottom to top in order to finish the material layers that are no longer thermally stressed. The Back Taper shank radius milling cutter is designed for 2D machining of undercuts on the component. Its specifications are aimed at pre-finishing and finishing applications on additively manufactured components. All variants can be used for dry machining. As a protective gas atmosphere and higher temperatures prevail in the machine chamber, dry machining is also absolutely essential. am
