Simon Pryce becomes CEO

Simon Pryce has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Executive Director of RS Group with effect from April 3, 2023. David Egan, currently Acting CEO, will work alongside Pryce in his role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Simon Pryce, an experienced leader, has an impressive track record of driving results and meeting stakeholder needs through performance improvements and effective execution of organic and inorganic growth strategies.

Most recently, Pryce spent over four years as CEO of Ultra Electronic Holdings, which was acquired by Advent in August 2022. Prior to that, he held the role of Group Chief Executive at BBA Aviation for ten years and previously held a number of international finance and management positions. He has been a Non-Executive Director of RS since 2016 and Chairman of the Remuneration Committee since 2019.

Rona Fairhead, RS Group Chairman, said: "The Board is very confident that Simon has the right leadership style, skills and experience to lead RS to further future success in the Group's next phase of growth." Fairhead adds: "In addition, I would like to thank the dedicated RS teams around the world for their hard work, continued passion and efforts to maintain the momentum we have in the business."

Simon Pryce said: "RS has delivered a strong performance in recent years, but what excites me most is the great potential of this company, with its great people and culture. I look forward to the opportunity to work with David and all colleagues globally to drive the Group's growth, further improve operational execution and develop RS's purpose-led, high-performance culture."

Simon Pryce will resign from all Board Committees of which he is a member with immediate effect. Joan Wainwright will replace Pryce as Chair of the Remuneration Committee.
