Rapid.Tech 3D
New partners and new impetus for AM
The appeal of Rapid.Tech 3D continues to grow. Numerous new partnerships at the pioneering additive manufacturing (AM) event, which will be held in Erfurt for the 20th time next year from May 14 to 16, are proof of this.
VDMA Additive Manufacturing organizes AM4industry
A new partner is the Additive Manufacturing Working Group of the German Engineering Federation VDMA. The committee, in which around 200 companies represent the entire value chain of additive manufacturing, will take over the conceptual sponsorship of Rapid.Tech 3D from 2024. The working group is organizing the AM4industry Forum to mark the anniversary event. It will take place on the opening day of Rapid.Tech 3D (May 14, 2024) and will focus on sustainability & efficiency, repair and "rethinking". The latter will focus on how AM can be used to enable new designs, new production methods and new services. The members of the VDMA AM working group will meet in Erfurt for their general meeting on May 13.
New international publication channels increase the attractiveness of submitting specialist articles. For the ninth time, the AM Science Forum will provide information on new research results with scientific quality assurance (double-blind review) and consider all topics in the AM process chain. Scientific contributions can still be submitted until December 31, 2023.
The use of AM is becoming increasingly important in the chemical industry. This was evident at the Chemistry & Process Engineering Forum held for the first time at this year's Rapid.Tech 3D. Due to the great interest, the forum will be continued in 2024 and organized in close coordination with the new cooperation partner Dechema. The trade association is the competent German network for chemical engineering and biotechnology. It pools the expertise of over 5,500 companies, research and educational institutions as well as other partners from politics and society.
Attractive anniversary event
"We are very pleased about the new competent partners, whose support will enable us to expand the quality of Rapid.Tech 3D as a pioneering platform for industrial 3D printing and provide new impetus for AM. Thanks to these partnerships and many other activities of the advisory board and the organization team, we will be able to offer all participants an attractive anniversary event," says Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt.
This is supported not least by the top-class program of the specialist congress with groundbreaking keynotes. The first key speakers for 2024 have already been announced. Radu Donose, Head of Competence AM at the Dutch ASML Group, will give the opening lecture. He will show how the equipment manufacturer for the international semiconductor industry uses additive manufacturing for innovative production technologies in chip production. On May 15, Dr. Jan Brummund will focus on the potential of AM for chemical process technology. Dr. Brummund, who holds a doctorate in process engineering, is Business Development Manager at InnoSyn, a Dutch R&D service provider for the chemical industry.
Restructured program of specialist forums
The Rapid.Tech 3D team has restructured the program of the specialist forums. In addition to the VDMA AM4industry Forum and the AM Science Forum, the Aviation Forum will take place on the first day. The AM Science Forum will continue on the second day of the event. The Chemistry & Process Engineering, Innovations in AM with a focus on defense and Software/KI & Design forums will also be inviting participants. Part 2 of the Innovations in AM forum will follow on the final day, focusing on energy and printed electronics. The program also includes the Mobility Forum and the biennial forum of the Fraunhofer Competence Field Additive Manufacturing. The 19 Fraunhofer Institutes united in the Competence Field will also present their AM expertise in the Rapid.Tech 3D exhibition.
Interested parties who decide to attend the Rapid.Tech 3D trade congress this year will benefit from attractive offers. Ultra Early Bird prices apply to one-, two- and three-day tickets until December 31, 2023. The benefits amount to at least 200 euros in each category. The tickets can be used to visit the congress and trade exhibition and to take advantage of the networking opportunities, such as the evening event on May 16, 2024 in Erfurt's Kaisersaal.
Pioneering event for the AM scene offers a harmonious triad
Rapid.Tech 3D is the pioneering event in the AM scene and will be celebrating its 20th edition at Messe Erfurt from May 14 to 16, 2024. The longest-running conference on additive manufacturing offers a coherent triad of congress, exhibition and networking opportunities for the AM industry.
