Laserhub expands platform to include CNC turning
Laserhub, provider of the online platform for ordering and order management of laser, bending and tube laser parts, is now adding CNC turning, one of the most important processing methods in the metal industry, to its portfolio.
Over the past two and a half years, the startup Laserhub has continuously refined and expanded its platform business model and expertise in laser cutting. Almost 3,500 customers have already used Laserhub's services to date, with the company now generating 80% of its revenue from regular customers.
"After processing sheet metal and tube parts, we are opening up a huge new business area with CNC turning. Our aim was to handle the entire ordering process here just as smoothly as our customers are already used to from our previous portfolio," explained Christoph Rößner, founder and Managing Director of Laserhub. "From the start, the new offering will enable us to manufacture everything from batch size 1 to large series."
Simple order processing with Laserhub
"We estimate the European CNC turned parts market to be three times larger than the market for sheet metal processing at 100 billion, so expanding our portfolio was the logical next step. However, the market for CNC turned parts is not only larger, but also significantly more complex than our original core business. We are dealing with more machine manufacturers, more suppliers and more customers with individual requirements," says Markus Ekert, Technical Lead for CNC turning at Laserhub.
At Laserhub.com, interested parties can find all the important information on materials, dimensions, tolerances and supported file formats. This allows them to quickly find out which CNC turned parts can be produced at Laserhub. Customers can access the entire range of materials on offer, i.e. steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Users can find out exactly which alloys are available in the metal catalog or the order configuration on the platform.
Customers upload their CAD file and configure their order. Laserhub selects the right manufacturer from its partner network and handles the processing, delivery and invoicing. Laserhub guarantees that customers use a highly specialized, fully professional company for their CNC turning order. As the only contractual partner, Laserhub guarantees rapid order processing and reliable delivery. Customers have access to a large network of contractors, while Laserhub provides them with advice and support for digitized order processing. as
