Günther Paul retires
Laser Components: Generation change
After 35 years at the helm of the Laser Components Group, 72-year-old company founder Günther Paul is finally retiring. He had already transferred his shares in the company to his sons Patrick (40) and Felix (38) in 2014.
With a surprise celebration at the company headquarters in Olching on April 18, the staff bid farewell to their long-serving boss and reviewed the most important milestones in the company's history - from a two-man business in the family home in 1982, the year the company was founded, to an international group with branches and production facilities in five countries. Via video messages, long-time companions and representatives of the foreign subsidiaries also wished Günther Paul all the best for his new chapter in life.
In a short speech, Patrick Paul emphasized the successful handover process: Over the years, more and more skills had been transferred from one generation to the next. In this way, a hard cut was avoided so that the company could continue to develop. kp
