Change of staff
Karsten Sachsenröder new CEO at Zitec-Brammer
The merger of IPH-Brammer in Europe was followed on November 1, 2017 by the appointment of Karsten Sachsenröder as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a change in the management of the companies Zitec Gruppe GmbH and Brammer GmbH, which belong to IPH-Brammer. The 54-year-old succeeds Dr. Otto Max Schaefer at the Zitec Group.
Prior to his move, Sachsenröder held senior management and CEO positions, in particular at DB Schenker Rail as Chief Sales Officer and at AAE Ahaus Alstätter Eisenbahn Holding. Most recently, he supported international financial investors as an industrial advisor.
"With Karsten Sachsenröder, Zitec-Brammer is gaining an experienced and strong leader. His professional milestones and successes make him uniquely qualified to lead both companies in this exciting phase of growth and integration. I am very much looking forward to working with him," said Johan Sleebus, CEO of IPH-Brammer. "I would like to thank Dr. Schaefer for his dedication over the past three years at Zitec. Under his leadership, significant goals have been achieved, such as the establishment of a comprehensive country management structure and the integration of Kistenpfennig AG into the Zitec Group."
Sachsenröder will be supported in his new role at Zitec-Brammer by Ralf Hellwig as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Hellwig has been responsible for the development of European key account management at Brammer in recent years and was most recently Managing Director in Germany and Austria. The management team is completed by Christian Aumüller as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who previously held this role at the Zitec Group.
"I am very much looking forward to the new role and the challenges it brings," says Karsten Sachsenröder about his appointment. "Zitec and Brammer are two exceptional companies with high-performing employees and a promising future. We have excellent market potential that we want to exploit in order to continue to grow consistently as before and increase profitability at the same time."
Zitec and Brammer have been operating as a single entity on the German market since September 15, 2017. At the same time, IPH and Brammer merged at European level after the private equity company Advent International acquired Brammer in January last year and IPH in June. The Zitec Group, which includes Zitec Industrietechnik and Kistenpfennig AG, has been the central management unit of IPH in Germany since 2012. Together, Brammer and Zitec generate a turnover of 410 million euros in Germany and employ around 1,300 people at over 45 locations. kp
