Technologies for modern metalworking
In-house exhibition at DMG Mori in Pfronten
From January 26 to 30, 2026, DMG Mori will be hosting its in-house exhibition in Pfronten, which is aimed at trade visitors from the D-A-CH region. International guests are invited from February 2 to 6, 2026. The event will showcase manufacturing solutions for companies of different sizes, with a particular focus on the Aviation & Space, Data & Semiconductor and Die & Mold sectors.
"We combine future-proof machining technologies with integrated processes, automation, digital solutions and reliable service throughout the entire machine life cycle. In this way, we show that modern manufacturing does not have to be complex - if technologies are conceived holistically, implemented modularly and tailored to the requirements of small and medium-sized companies in particular," explains Cornelius Nöß, Chief Managing Director DMG Mori Pfronten.
A central point of the exhibition is the opening of a new 4,500 m² training center, which is intended to support the training of skilled workers for manufacturing. The programme will be complemented by technology seminars on Machining Transformation (MX), which will focus on manufacturing solutions with digitalized processes and automation systems.
Machines and automation solutions
DMG Mori will be exhibiting more than 40 machines and over 20 automation solutions on 4,500 m². Three premieres will take center stage: the universal lathe "CTX 450 4A", the 5-axis horizontal machining center "DMU 65 H monoBLOCK" and the "LASERTEC 65 DED hybrid" for additive manufacturing. In the field of automation, the 3rd generation of the "Robo2Go" will be presented.
"Advanced 5-axis technologies and fully integrated automation solutions are the key to a long-term competitive future in increasingly globalized markets," says Nöß. The machines and automation systems on show are designed to offer flexibility and cover both individual and series production.
Various exhibition areas illustrate the range: from flexible 5-axis solutions and turn-mill machines for 6-sided complete machining to advanced technologies such as additive manufacturing on "LASERTEC DED hybrid" and "LASERTEC SLM machines", "ULTRASONIC models" or vertical multi-process grinding machines from the Vertical Mate series. In the Automation Area, driverless transport systems will be demonstrated that take over the autonomous transportation of machine pallets, material pallets, chip carts and tools.
Machining Transformation (MX)
With Machining Transformation (MX), DMG Mori is pursuing an approach that aims to integrate, digitalize and automate processes. The aim is to shorten set-up and cycle times, make machining results more precise and use material resources more efficiently. Turn-mill centers, mill-turn machines and horizontal machining centers are designed to combine several work steps in a single clamping operation. At the same time, they enable a high level of connectivity to accompany processes from work preparation to NC programming and quality control.
"With Machining Transformation (MX), DMG Mori is pursuing a holistic approach that streamlines processes and increases productivity and efficiency at the same time," says Nöß. MX is also intended to contribute to the Green Transformation (GX), as sustainable manufacturing is increasingly becoming an economic factor.
Partnership with companies
DMG Mori develops manufacturing solutions in collaboration with customers to meet quality, efficiency and productivity requirements. The world premieres at the in-house exhibition illustrate this: The "CTX 450 4A" offers connectivity for networked production, while the "DMU 65 H monoBLOCK" enables process integration in a single clamping. Small and medium-sized companies in particular can benefit from modular, scalable automation, for example with the Robo2Go 3rd generation or PH Cell solutions.
"From consulting, installation and training to responsive service, DMG Mori guarantees holistic and customer-oriented support," explains Nöß.
Training and promoting young talent
The training of new specialists is at the heart of future innovations. In addition to its long-standing cooperation with educational institutions, DMG Mori is opening a 4,500 m² training center where around 150 apprentices, trainees and dual students will be prepared for Industry 4.0 in a practical way.
"With the modern training center, we are creating space for ideas, enthusiasm for technology and first-class training," says Nöß. The aim is to promote young talent in such a way that they can actively help shape change: "After all, they are a decisive shaper of the future. They bring with them new ways of thinking, digital skills and a natural affinity for technology and sustainable solutions. This makes it all the more important to equip young talent so that they can take on their tasks with confidence and actively drive change."
